Free Yourself From Fear, Anxiety, and Compulsion

Exposure therapy can be effective in treating disabling anxiety and obsessive-compulsive difficulties. Exposure therapy involves a structured and safe exposure to a situation or object that causes fear, anxiety or compulsive coping mechanisms. The goal is to simply be with the fear as it arises in a safe, supported environment. As a person learns to tolerate what arises when exposed to the situation or object, one attains freedom from the compulsion to avoid or repeat behaviors.
